The hardware

Modules and Wi-Fi

My module doesn't show up in Home

Three causes cover almost every case:

  1. Your iPhone and the module must be on the same Wi-Fi network (the 2.4 GHz one, not a guest network).
  2. The app needs the “Local Network” permission: iPhone Settings → Link Your Light → Local Network.
  3. A new module, or one that lost its Wi-Fi, announces itself over Bluetooth: tap “+” on Home and give it your network.
The module lost its Wi-Fi (you moved, new router, changed password)

After a minute without a network, the module opens a Bluetooth rescue window. In the app, tap “+”: it appears, and you give it the network and password again. No cable, no button.

Factory-reset a module

Unplug and replug the module five times in a row, leaving it powered less than ten seconds each time. On the fifth power-up it erases everything — network, account, settings — and is as good as new. Handy for a second-hand module or a lost password.

The module stopped responding, or the app says “unreachable”

Unplug it for ten seconds and plug it back in. If it stays unreachable, check that it's on the same Wi-Fi as your iPhone and that your router isn't isolating it (“client isolation” turned off).

My strip shows the wrong colours (red looks blue, etc.)

Manufacturers change the colour order from one batch to the next. In the module's page → Device → Configuration, change “Colour order” (GRB, RGB, BRG…) until red is red.

Hockey

The goal

My lights don't react to goals
  1. The Goal Pass must be active (Settings → account, or the “Goal Pass” card on Home).
  2. In the module's page, Goal section: “Light up on a goal” on, the right team picked, and “Server: connected”.
  3. The module must be linked to your account (module page → Account). The signal only goes to modules of an account in good standing.
  4. Tap “Replay the last goal”: if the celebration plays, everything is in place — just wait for the next goal.
The celebration fires before (or after) the goal on my TV

Cable, satellite and streaming have different delays, from 5 to 45 seconds. Adjust “TV delay” in the Goal section until the light fires when the goal appears on your screen. “Replay the last goal” lets you tune it without waiting for a real goal.

I want colours other than the team's

Goal section → Celebration: compose your own palette. The animation stays the same (flash, then chase); only the colours change. “Back to team colours” restores the default.

The flash bothers me (light sensitivity)

Turn on “Flash-free celebration” in the Goal section: the colour chase plays without the strobe.

Accessories

Kasa and Matter

My Kasa plug doesn't show up

Recent Kasa plugs require your TP-Link account to be controlled on your network — TP-Link imposes it. Go to Accessories → Kasa plugs and connect your account. If the plug still isn't found, enter its address (for example 10.0.0.214, shown in the Kasa app) in the “Plug address” field.

Your TP-Link password stays on your iPhone and is only used to talk to your plugs.

My Matter devices vanished after I reinstalled the app

That's an Apple rule: Matter pairing keys are tied to the app installation. Deleting the app destroys them, and nothing can restore them. Each device must be paired again: Accessories → Matter → scan its QR code (put it back in pairing mode per its manual first, or generate a new code from the Home app if it's there). To avoid this: update the app, don't delete it.

Your profile

Account and data

What is saved in my account?

With an account, your scenes, patterns, automations, looks, your lights' names and their order go up to your cloud. Switch iPhones, reinstall the app, sign in: everything comes back. Goal settings live in the module itself. Without an account, everything stays on this iPhone only — and vanishes with the app.

Sign in with Apple or with email?

Both work. “Continue with Apple” is the simplest: no password to remember, and Apple proves your identity. If you already have an email account with the same address, the Apple sign-in finds it — no duplicate.

Delete my account

Settings → your account → Delete my account, with your password. Your cloud profile is erased for good and your modules are released. What's on your iPhone and in your modules keeps working. Note: an Apple subscription is not cancelled by deleting the account — see the Subscription section.

The Goal Pass

Subscription

Manage or cancel my subscription

The Goal Pass is an Apple subscription: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Link Your Light. You can cancel anytime; it stays active until the end of the paid period. We never see your credit card.

I switched iPhones and the pass is no longer active

On the pass screen (the “Goal Pass” card on Home), tap “Restore purchases” with the same Apple account. If you're signed in to your Link Your Light account, the pass follows you that way too.

Refunds

In-app purchase refunds are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. If something failed on our side, write to us first — we want to know.
